STATE OF INDIANA
IN THE SUPERIOR
COURT NO. 1
COUNTY OF
BARTHOLOMEW
CAUSE NO.
03D01-2504-AD-1986
THE ADOPTION OF:
PEYTON L. LYKINS,
A Minor Child,
NOTICE OF
PUBLICATION TO
BIOLOGICAL MOTHER

Hannah Lykins, Biological
Mother, is notified that a
petition for adoption of a
child, namely Peyton L.
Lykins, born to Hannah
Lykins and Charles L.
Lykins on April 8, 2013,
was filed in the office of
the clerk of Bartholomew
County Court, 234
Washington Street, Co-
lumbus, IN 47201 under
cause number
03D01-2504-AD-1986.
The petition for adoption
alleges that the consent
to adoption of Hannah
Lykins is not required
because Hannah Lykins
has failed for at least
one (1) year to commu-
nicate significantly with
said minor child or has
knowingly failed to pro-
vide for the care and
support of the child when
able to do so as required
by judicial decree; Peti-
tioner can prove by clear
and convincing evidence
that Hannah Lykins is
unfit to be a parent; and
the best interest of the
child sought to be
adopted, Peyton L.
Lykins, would be served
if the court dispensed
with Ms. Lykins consent.
If Hannah Lykins seeks to
contest the adoption of
the child, Hannah Lykins
must file a motion to
contest the adoption in
accordance with IC
31-19-10-1 in the
above-named court not
later than fifteen (15)
days after the date of
service of this notice.
If Hannah Lykins does not
file a motion to contest
the adoption within fif-
teen (15) days after
service of this notice, the
above-named court will
hear and determine the
petition for adoption. The
consent to adoption of
Hannah Lykins will be ir-
revocably implied and
Hannah Lykins will lose
the right to contest either
the adoption or the valid-
ity of Hannah Lykins im-
plied consent to the
adoption.
No oral statement made to
Hannah Lykins relieves
Hannah Lykins of Han-
nah Lykins obligations
under this notice.
This notice complies with
IC 31-19-4.5-3 but does
not exhaustively set forth
a person's legal obliga-
tions under the Indiana
adoption statutes. A per-
son being served with
this notice should con-
sult the Indiana adoption
statutes and/or an attor-
ney to fully apprise
themselves of their legal
obligations.
Heather M. Schuh-Ogle is
the attorney representing
the petitioning party. Her
address is Thomasson,
Guthrie, Schuh-Ogle, &
Happel, P.C., 50 Wash-
ington Street, Suite 3A,
Columbus, Indiana,
47201. Hannah Lykins
current whereabouts are
unknown.
This Notice is being
served by publication.
If Hannah Lykins or her at-
torney:
1. Does not respond to or
appear in the court in the
above-captioned matter;
2. The above-named
Court may enter a de-
fault against her for the
relief demanded in the
Verified Petition for
Adoption.
3. No oral statement
made to Hannah Lykins
relieves her from her ob-
ligations under this No-
tice.
