REQUEST FOR BIDS
FOR CASH RENTAL OF
FARMGROUND

The Bartholomew County
Solid Waste Manage-
ment District (BCSWMD)
is requesting bids from
experienced farmers for
the cash rent of unused
farm ground adjacent to
the Yard Waste Site.
Contract documents are
available for review at no
cost at the Office of Bar-
tholomew County Solid
Waste Management Dis-
trict, 720 South Mapleton
Street, Columbus, Indi-
ana 47201
Each person offering a bid
shall submit a completed
bid form for the property
they are interested in
farming. The lease is for
a 3-year term with an au-
tomatic 3% per annum
inflation factor. The farm
is generally described
below:
1) 20 acres at our Yard
Waste disposal site near
the Columbus City Gar-
age, 2250 Kreutzer Drive
in Columbus, IN
Bids must be delivered to
the Office of the Director,
Bartholomew County
Solid Waste Manage-
ment District, 720 South
MAPLETON Street, Co-
lumbus, Indiana 47201,
no later than 3:30 pm lo-
cal time, Wednesday,
January 21st, 2026.
Bids shall be in a sealed
envelope marked "Farm
Rental Bid". Bids will be
opened at the January
2026 BCSWMD Board

The BCSWMD reserves
the right to reject any or
all proposals, to waive
any informalities or irreg-
ularities herein, and to
accept the bid that in its
sole judgment is the
most responsive and re-
sponsible. No bid may
be withdrawn for a pe-
riod of ninety (90) days
after receipt. No con-
tract will be awarded to
any bidder, who as de-
termined by the
BCSWMD, is not quali-
fied to provide the re-
quested services.
