NOTICE OF PUBLIC
HEARING

The Bartholomew County,
Indiana Plan Commis-
sion will hold a public
hearing to consider
amendments to the Co-
lumbus & Bartholomew
County Zoning Ordi-
nance for the jurisdiction
of Bartholomew County.
That jurisdiction includes
all unincorporated areas
within Bartholomew
County, excluding the
area within the jurisdic-
tion of the Edinburgh /
Bartholomew / Colum-
bus Joint District Plan
Commission and any
municipal extraterritorial
areas. The proposed
zoning ordinance
amendments address
provisions for communi-
cations service ex-
changes.
The hearing will occur at
the October 14, 2026
Plan Commission meet-
ing. That meeting begins
at 8:30 a.m. in the Coun-
cil Chamber, located on
the second floor of City
Hall, 123 Washington
Street, Columbus, Indi-
ana. The meeting loca-
tion is wheelchair acces-
sible. The meeting will
also be streamed live
and available on-line at
https://www.columbus.in .
gov/video/live-streaming.

The proposed zoning ordi-
nance amendment mate-
rials will be posted online
no later than October 9,
2026 at https://www .
columbus.in.gov/planning/agendas-materials/ on
the Bartholomew County
Plan Commission Octo-
ber 14, 2026 meeting
page. They are also
available at the Planning
Department office in Co-
lumbus City Hall.
Interested parties may
voice an opinion during
the hearing and/or file
written comments con-
cerning this matter with
the Planning Depart-
ment. Written comments
must be received by no
later than 5:00 p.m. on
the business day prior to
the meeting. To provide
